Everything you need to know about the
LIVE Beginners Pilates for Runners course.
Youâre a runner in your 40s + and youâve started to notice those running niggles are happening a bit more often, or injuries are taking longer to recover from?
Itâs your body’s way of telling you it needs extra support and Beginners Pilates for Runners can do just that and help keep you running.
Never done Pilates before, thatâs ok, this course is designed for you.
What is the LIVE Beginners Pilates for Runners course?
The Beginners Pilates for Runners course is LIVE over 5 weeks to teach you the basics of Pilates to help support your running body with LIVE online classes each week as well as 10-minute videos to help you practice. Â Starting Tuesday 28th June for 5 weeks.
Why have you created the Beginners Pilates for Runners course?
Runners over 40 know they need to add strength, mobility & flexibility to their training. Runners would rather go for a run than spend time on cross-training, either due to time constraints or they have never been injured (YET!) and donât feel the need.
Pilates is low impact exercise, so perfect for rest or cross-training days. Don’t just take my word for it, check out Runners world
10-minutes is all you need regularly so it can be fitted in before or after a run, during your warm-up, or cool down (you do this donât you?)
Doing 10-minute sessions daily would be great or at least 3 times a week and you will start to see a difference in your running.
I am trying to make it easy for you!
Who is it really for?
All runners, but I like to focus on the over 40s as this is when we really need to start making the changes in our bodies seriously. Plus if
- Youâve never done Pilates before or not for a while
- You want to keep running into your 60s, 70s
- You want to get stronger
- You want to run without niggles and injury
- Itâs for you whether you are a 5K runners or an ultra-runner
Most runners then!
What problems will it solve for me?
You might be one of the lucky ones who hasnât had too many problems as you’re headed into your 40s plus. But it will happen if you just keep running. A hard fact I know to hear but believe me we are not invincible as we think!
Our bodies are changing, both male and female. By adding strength, mobility & flexibility exercises we are supporting our muscles, bones, and joints.
Running puts a lot of stress and load through our bodies with its repetitive nature.  If you have a weakness then this will eventually show up as a niggle or injury. Believe me, after being unable to run throughout most of lockdown you donât want to be in this position.
The course will focus on the main running muscles, using Pilates exercises to help strengthen, etc, and also improve posture & balance all things which will help improve our running.
Whatâs included in the course?
The course runs over 5 weeks and this is what we will cover:
- Every Tuesday at 7 am I will be taking a LIVE 30-minute class on Zoom. In this class, I will teach you the Pilates setup and basic exercises.
- You will have access to the Pilates for Runners membership, Pilates Plus. This means you can join in other LIVE recommended membership classes throughout the week.
- The 10-minute workout Library means each week I can give you some 10-minute Videos to practice.
- Also, access to Pilates for Runners challenges
- Archive of guest speakers
- Facebook group to keep in touch, use for accountability & ask any questions.

How will it help me?
The Beginner’s Pilates for Runner’s Course teaches you the Pilates technique, and the basic Pilates moves.
Learning the technique correctly ensures that you can strengthen etc correctly and build-up without risk of injury as you get stronger.
It will get you into a habit, a good habit of doing Pilates regularly over the 5 weeks and you will start to feel the benefits to help improve your running.
Itâs the start of a good habit that will keep you running longer and you can do it all at home.
How much will it cost?
The course is ÂŁ99 for the 5 weeks with access to the Pilates Plus membership from Monday 27th June until 31st July.
What happens if I wait?
This is the first course, numbers will be limited so you get lots more of me to help you.
The summer is coming, we tend to get out, even more, when the weather is warmer, maybe do more running and longer distances than normal? That niggle or old injury might just put you out of action. Trust me it’s frustrating!
Donât leave it until the next one, start now and enjoy your summer of running.
