Pilates Day 2nd May 2020
Pilates Day is an Internationally recognised day to celebrate Joseph Pilates and his renowen Pilates Method.
Joseph Pilates first started talking about exercise and Your Health in 1934 and continued in 1945 when he published his book Return to Life through Contrology. He developed his 34 Pilates moves which we know today, but which have evolved over time as we learn more.
Joseph Pilates who was ill as a child developed Pilates with the view that ” achieving the highest accomplishments within the scope of our capabilitiesin all walks of life depends on constantly striving to aquirw strong, healthy bodies and at the same time developing our minds to the limit of our ability”
Pilates to this day still is performed with this in mind.
