Working all day then dealing with kids when you get home, any thoughts of exercise or bringing movement into your day just go out the window.
It’s the summer holidays, routines are different and exercise is the last thing you think about doing.

End of the day
In reality by the end of the day we are exhausted and have had no time to do the things we want to do.
It’s OK to feel like that – It’s life
BUT it’s important to fit regular movement into our day.
As my blog “How long should your sit for in your day” explains, sitting is bad for your health.
So after a day at work or looking after the kids. The last thing you feel like doing is heading out to the gym or a Pilates class, you know you will feel better but all you want to do is sit on the sofa with your feet up!
How to fit movement into your day!
- Exercise first thing so there is no excuse later in the day.
- Do an activity with the kids that involves you all moving
- Walk more instead of getting in the car!
- Take stairs and not the lift
- If you are at work – set an alarm to get up and move
- Make cups of tea/ coffee regularly so you get and walk to the kitchen!
Which one would suit you of the list above.
Still thinking that TIME is an issue and even though you know you should you can’t fit it all in.
