tiff hips first thing in the morning? A stride that feels shorter than it used to? This Pilates class is all about hip mobility for runners, and it’s day 3 of Reset Week. In this session we work through the hips with controlled, strength-based mobility so you move more freely, run with a longer stride and take the pressure off your back and knees.
As we age, and after years of sitting and running in one direction, our hips lose range. When the hip can’t extend properly, the glutes can’t do their job. The stride shortens, the lower back works harder and the knees start to complain.
This isn’t passive stretching. You’ll build strength at the end of your range, so the movement you gain is movement you can use on the run.
Looser, more comfortable hips. Better glute activation. A longer, easier stride. Less strain on your back and knees.
Grab your mat and let’s get your hips moving.
